Oxygenetix

I carry the American brand Oxygenetix in my rooms, which has been formulated exclusively for physicians and cosmetic professionals. This cosmeceutical was formulated to be used immediately after cosmetic procedures including injectable dermal fillers, skin resurfacing, chemical peels, dermabrasion and laser treatments.

Post Procedure

Oxygenetix Foundation can lessen and camouflage redness and irritation post procedure. It also contains healing and protective substances such as Aloe Vera and Ceravitae. This foundation acts as a virtual second-skin, allowing your skin to breath and assist with the bodies natural healing process.

What is Ceravitae?

This material was long ago patented (Sperti, G. 1939) It is also known as CERA-V,Biodynes, Skin Respiratory Factors and Tissue Respiratory Factors. It is obtained from a particular yeast cell (Saccharomyces Cercvisae). Under stress (by heat, UV application and the like) the cell produces a product which will stimulate cellular oxygen consumption, increase cell regeneration, collagen and elastin production. It is not a new substance but the Oxygenetix matrix may allow it to deliver its properties more effectively.

What is the science behind Oxygenetix?

Most foundations use an occlusive oil base or hydrocarbon base made of long chain molecules as the base of their makeup. Research suggests the difference in this product lies in the use of a volatile short chain hydrocarbon gel base which is combined with other molecules and then evaporates to leave behind a "second skin" matrix which is stable to heat and UV light. So you have a polymer that suspends colorants evenly, is smooth in texture, is hard to rub off and is water resistant.
